New HSE Graduates
Warren Adult and Continuing Education would like to congratulate three of its newest graduates. Candace Edwards earned her HSE through the Total TranscriptⓇ, and Aisha Henry earned her HSE by passing the five HiSETⓇ exams. Aisha stated, "I am so thankful that the staff and teachers, especially Mr. Shaw, never gave up on me. It was worth all of the tears and pep talks to have gotten me where I am today! I've finally graduated." Rachel Horton, not pictured, who also earned her HSE by taking the HiSETⓇ exams stated, "Warren Adult Education gave me the confidence to get my HSE. Thank you! Everyone was so helpful and nice." Good luck to all in their future endeavors. 🎓🎓🎓
New Instructional Coaches
Warren ACE added two new full-time positions to its team. Ben Rose and Brenda Gaston started their new roles in July. Ben is new to Warren and is the HSE Instructional Coach. He teaches an HSE class four mornings a week and provides coaching support to the HSE teachers. Brenda has been a multilingual instructor for eleven years and was promoted into the new ML Instructional Coach role. She teaches an advanced-level English Acquisition class four mornings a week and provides coaching support to the ML teachers. The program is excited to see these two support the teachers and students throughout the year.
Construction Training
Jesse Linville is passionate about construction and dedicated to teaching. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the construction class at Warren and is ready to guide students on their construction journey. The current cohort at Highlander Park began their work experience with NeighborLink Indianapolis a few weeks ago. These students took what they learned in the classroom from Jesse and applied these skills to the work they completed onsite.
