Adult & Continuing Education Chronicles

Determined to Succeed
Andres Montoya started his journey at Warren Adult and Continuing Education as a GoT (Graduate on Time) student in January 2023. He started taking the HiSETⓇ exams and learned more instruction in class was needed. His instructor, John Shaw, found creative ways to help Andres better understand the skills he needed to pass the tests. Andres earned a TotalTranscrript in November by passing the GEDⓇ math exam and retaking the HiSETⓇ reading exam to get that one extra point. Andres' perseverance helped him achieve his goal. He now plans to pursue a culinary career. Congratulations, Andres!
CNA Class
The current CNA class completed their training at Highlander Park and Rosewalk. This week, they earned their CPR certification. The final step is taking the CNA exam next week. Good luck to these four talented and dedicated students.
Learning and Fun
The students in Ms. Judy's class work on skills and find time to have some fun. A necessary skill is for the students to be able to identify coins used in the United States and count them correctly. After working in small groups, a few students smiled and took a selfie to spread holiday cheer.
