A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words
Students in Mr. Belizaire's class are practicing their speaking skills through pictures. Details about the individuals in the picture were given to the students who practiced in small groups. Volunteers came to the front of the class and described each family member in the picture. One of the best parts was how encouraging the students were to each other. New HSE Graduates
Congratulations to Anna Padilla, Yves Fleur Juin, Jennifer Montero, Martine Gelin, and Josiah Carter! These five individuals achieved their goal of earning an HSE. Dedication and perseverance were two of the driving forces for the graduates. "Take pride in how far you've come. Have faith in how far you can go. H.T. Hackney
This week two new cohorts began English acquisition classes at H.T. Hackney. The partnership between Warren and H.T. Hackney is entering its second year. Last year almost 60 employees joined the classes to improve their speaking skills. Mr. Parra and Ms. Tammy will instruct the classes and look forward to working with returning and new employees. The sense of community the employees built with each other is just one of the reasons for the success of this partnership.
