New HSE Graduates
Warren Adult and Continuing Education congratulates two of the program's newest graduates, Alyssa Thompson and Joshua Brown. Both students took the GEDⓇ exam to achieve their High School Equivalency Diploma. Joshua was thankful to the Warren staff for their help, and Alyssa felt Warren helped her to better herself and become the person she wanted to be. "Education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world." ~ Nelson Mandela
Medical Training Classes
Warren's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) training classes are underway. Priscilla Daniels is the CNA instructor. Currently, the class is completing their clinical hours at Rosewalk, located on the east side. After completing the clinical hours, the students will return to Highlander Park to prepare for a written exam and skills evaluation. Crystal Richardson is the CCMA instructor. Her students attend class at Highlander Park and will complete externship hours at different Community Health locations in the area after passing the NHA certification exam.
National GED Day
Did you know the GED high school credential has opened doors for over 21 million graduates? On September 16, the first annual National GED Day will recognize GED achievements and brighter futures through education. This is a day to reflect on the hard work and dedication of GED learners, educators, graduates, and everyone who supports them throughout their educational journey. "The GED is much more than a test - it's an entire program that equips learners for success in education and in life, building knowledge and confidence for a brighter, more equitable future for all!" ~ Vicki Greene, President of GED Testing Service
