Students in Mr. Shaw’s HSE class recently took a hands-on approach to preparing for the civics portion of the HiSET exam. Using the 100 Citizenship Question flashcards, students had the opportunity to assess what they already knew, identify areas for growth, and learn from one another!

A new group of 15 students began their Phlebotomy training at Highlander Park this past Tuesday. Led by Crystal Richardson, the seven-week course will provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to prepare for a career in phlebotomy!
As part of the course, students received scrubs to help them look and feel the part as they begin their training. Throughout the next seven weeks, they will build their skills and prepare to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam at the conclusion of the course! Good luck, students!!

Several classrooms have been putting their English skills into action through a Burlington English Conversation Cards contest. What started as an engaging classroom activity has grown into a fun opportunity for students across multiple classes to practice speaking, build confidence, and connect! Shoutout to Mr. Spaulding for leading such a fun activity!

Warren Adult and Continuing Education welcomed its first Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) cohort of the year, bringing together 17 new students as they begin their journey into the healthcare field!
Led by instructor Jane Oakley-Cameron, the class is beginning an intensive 14-week program that pairs classroom instruction with hands-on clinical skills.
Following their lab training, participants will complete hands-on externships with local healthcare providers, giving them real-world experience before graduation!
